The smooth, soulful sound of Canadian born Phil Jensen, will move
you, make you dance and have you swooning all with one song.
His tender, romantic lyrics
coupled with a blend of rock, jazz and country is attracting the attention
of a broad audience, making it accessible to both young and old.
Currently residing in
Denver,
CO,
Phil has been teaching guitar, writing songs, recording and producing for
the past eight years.
His playful sound and
comforting voice are influenced by great artists including Lyle Lovett,
Steely Dan and James Taylor, providing the singer/songwriter with eclectic
material from which to draw inspiration.
His song, “Point the Way,” a
catchy and up-beat piece, offers a positive message of love and will have
you smiling the whole way through.
With a clean sound and
sensitive lyrics, Phil’s music is refreshing in a period of oftentimes harsh
and angry music.
Phil recorded his first CD in 2001 entitled Point the Way.
The title track garnered
airplay in July 2002, hitting the #13 spot on the Adult Contemporary FMQB
chart and has been played on 66 stations around the country.
He is currently working on his
second CD to be released in Spring 2008, entitled “Smile”, which is exactly
what it will make you do, says the artist.
Phil’s original Christmas song
“Oh Silent Night” went to #23 after only three weeks on FMQB, just this past
December 2007. His newest release will also include the beautiful love song
"By My Side" which was produced by and features
Warren Hill on the
sax, a chart topping Smooth Jazz and Adult Contemporary artist.
Phil has been playing throughout Colorado on a
regular basis for the past several years, at local venues, summer festivals
and wedding ceremonies and receptions.
He is also producing a young
female artist from Charlotte,
NC
and
a young male singer/songwriter from Denver,
CO
for his indie label Monkey Boy Records.
